An ordinance allowing up to four hens on residential lots with a permit.
The ordinance would allow up to four hens, and no roosters, on single-family residential lots with an annual permit. Coops must be at least 10 feet from property lines and 25 feet from neighboring homes.
The Planning Commission recommended approval 5 to 1. The dissent preferred a limit of three hens.
Recommendation
Approve the reading and schedule the next reading and adoption for the next regular meeting.
Fiscal impact
Permit fees are expected to cover administration.
